Dormont is a compact borough of close-set homes and sloping streets, where the carts live beside the house or out back and the trip to the curb is rarely flat. Since the borough moved to large wheeled carts, that trip is also a heavier one. We handle it.

WM collects trash weekly and recycling every other week, on your street’s day. Carts go to the curb after 6 p.m. the night before or by 6 a.m. that morning, and the borough does not allow them stored on the sidewalk. We put them out and bring them home.
Each home has a 96-gallon trash cart and a 64-gallon recycling cart. Full, those are a real load on a slope or down a side path. Tell us where yours live at signup and we will bring them from there.
When a weekday holiday falls in the week, the rest of that week’s pickups slide back a day. A Thursday holiday means Friday service. Weekend holidays do not shift anything. We follow the borough’s calendar so you never have to count days.

YOUR LOCAL SERVICE, EXPLAINED
The borough contracts with WM (Waste Management) for weekly trash and every-other-week recycling. You keep that service. Trashcan Toucan moves your carts out and back; we do not collect the waste.
Start your subscription, then complete the service setup form with your address, collection day and bin access details. We confirm your street’s collection day and your first service date with you directly. You do not need to be home as long as we can reach the bins.
We follow your collection provider’s published calendar and holiday changes. If collection trucks are running, we provide service, including through winter weather.
Service is month to month with no contract or cancellation fee. If we miss service, that week is credited automatically.
