South Bend averages sixty-four inches of snow a year, more than anywhere else in Indiana. Most of it arrives off the lake overnight, between December and March. If the collection truck is running, your bins still make it to the curb.

What does curbside valet include?
We move your trash and recycling bins to the curb the night before collection, then return them after the truck runs. You keep your current collection provider. We handle the trip to the curb and back.
Which communities do you serve?
We serve South Bend, Mishawaka, and Granger, Indiana. We follow South Bend and Mishawaka's respective municipal schedules, and each household's private hauler schedule in Granger.
How much does service cost?
Charter membership is $60/month for the first 50 properties in the metro; the standard rate is $70/month. The household plan covers one trash tote and one recycling tote, with additional totes at $10 each per month. Code IHATETRASH is included in the signup link.
Do I need to be home?
No. As long as our team can access your bins and their designated storage location, your service can take place while you are away.
What happens on holidays or in bad weather?
We follow your collection provider’s published calendar, including holiday changes, and we work through ordinary Indiana winter — rain, cold, snow and the dark. The one exception is genuine danger: if the path to your bins is sheet ice with no safe footing, we tell you that day rather than risk a fall, and we return as soon as it is passable. Our terms set out what we ask of you and what we do.
Do I have to shovel before my service day?
No. Keep a reasonably passable path where you can, but we do not expect a cleared driveway and we will not skip you because it snowed. We stop only for conditions that are genuinely unsafe to walk, and we tell you the same day when that happens.
What if you miss a pickup?
If we miss your service, that week is credited automatically and you do not need to ask — including a week we judged too icy to walk safely. If we did not serve you, you do not pay for it. The exceptions are weeks your hauler did not run at all, or where we could not reach the bins because they were not out or a gate was locked. We always tell you what we found.
How do referral credits work?
Each person you refer who becomes an active paying customer takes $5 off your monthly bill. Credits stack and continue while both of you remain active customers. Your bill cannot fall below $0. Twelve active referrals cover the $60 base charter membership; fourteen cover the $70 base standard membership. Additional totes may affect your remaining bill.
Can I cancel my service?
Yes. Service is month to month, with no contract or cancellation fee. You can cancel at any time.
